El Paso Project Linus

The following items would help the El Paso Chapter of Project Linus in its mission to provide new, handmade blankets or afghans to seriously ill or traumatized children in our community who need the warmth and comfort of a blanket.

Gift cards from local merchants (Jo-Ann's, quilt shops, Office Depot, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc.)

Cash to help cover chapter expenses and to purchase supplies        

Other Ways to Help:

• Hold a fundraiser for Linus--such as a car wash or bake sale
• Host a blanket-making day with a service organization
• Organize a fabric or yarn drive for Linus
• Teach kids how to make a blanket

Project Linus is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Donations to El Paso Project Linus are tax-deductible, and receipts are available upon request.

All donations and monies are used solely for Project Linus expenses.

Cash and check donations are sent by our chapter to the Project Linus National Headquarters, where funds are saved in the El Paso Chapter account.  Funds are used as the local Chapter's needs arise to purchase fabric, batting, yarn, labels, etc. Twenty percent of cash or check donations are kept by headquarters to defray their costs of mailings, accounting fees, etc.
